The morning after.

Grace and John were here overnight for a 30th birthday party to which we were also invited as were most of the village 'Players'.

The party had a live band which was excellent, playing lots of 60's music - especially Beatles - and all ages had a great time dancing away to great beats from an era more akin to my youth than the 30 'somethings' who were present. It is rather scary when your children reach this age - Alex was 30 last summer - but nice to see everyone enjoying the same music.

We booked a table at the 'Potting Shed' for lunch today as we knew time would be at a premium after church. It was very busy when we got there and to our surprise the large table next to us was full of the family from the said 30th birthday party the night before. They all looked remarkably well - especially the birthday boy A seen here at the bottom of the table. I had intended thanking him here for a great 'do' and wishing him a Happy Hangover. May be tomorrow A on your actual birthday!
