A Collector of Oddities

GIANT woodworm

I am aware that the creature we call woodworm can actually be one of several different species but I have never seen worm holes as big as these ones before.

I am not sure how big they are going to come out on the screen but a quick look at this handy woodworm identification pdf brings up Longhorn beetles which leave exit holes of 5-10mm which sounds about right.

The other types give the more familiar 1-2mm holes.

Happily these holes are from an old tree stump and not someones house!
