Dramatic Sky

Swirling, thick clouds of grey turburlence lined our skies today. A huge nor west arch hitting Canterbury, although threatening there is no rain and the wind is hot. At this stage all was calm on the ground but the sky told a different story, before to long big gusts of warm wind rolled across the plains, dust was flying in all directions and trees started to bend.

Mum and I made a dash for the car, fortunately I had finished taking photos. We were both sneezing and had gritty eyes. We are used to these winds as they are not life threatening, just producing an amazing sky and tonight will probably be a brilliant sunset full of colour.

Grocery day for Mum and I, our day together. We decided not to head east to the beach but west, inland, to a lovely little village with a very popular cafe with fine tasting food and lots of nic nacks - you name it, they have it, a place with lots of character where many an hour could be spent. We had a lovely meal finished off with a cuppa.

A country scene with a little cemetery tucked away off the main road, although not large many families are here from the small village up the road.

Thanks for your company today Mum, lovely to have some time together :)

Friday tomorrow, one step closer to Saturday which means one step closer to a lie-in, sounds great to me!!

Keep well everyone :)

Edit: Black and White version here - something new for me :)
