Vet

Hero and Biscuit has been to the vets today.

Hero's appointment was booked ages ago as he needed the x-rays for his hip score done, before we can even consider letting him get more serious with his lovely blue merle girlfriend. We have quite strict rules regarding breeding in Denmark (the Kennel Club) and you can only breed from dogs that are free from hip dysplasia. Luckily the vet thought Hero's hips looked good, so fingers crossed that the Kennel Club will agree!

Biscuit's appointment was booked this morning as he has been sick with some stomach bug. He doesn't look poorly in any way (as happy and lively as always), but he has the runs and he has been vomiting. Usually I would not worry and just let it clear by itself, but we are travelling to England next week and he will be competing in the Crufts Semi Finals on the 28th January (trying to qualify for Crufts), so I really need him to get well as soon as possible. He got an injection and some tablets for me to give him and hopefully he will soon be back to full health.
He swallowed a big cat pooh when we were out walking today - it was gone before I had a chance to stop him. I don't think that helped his poorly tummy! Silly Sheltie!

This is Hero at the vets waking up from the anesthesia. The sheltie in the background had his hip x-rays done too. We got it cheaper as we had found 6 dogs that all needed hip scores done, so we asked the vet to make us a good offer and he did :-).

Hero is now trying to sleep the anesthesia off, so I'll try to get some work done.
Have a good day everyone!
