Gable

This was taken at Seapoint. It's one of the houses on the seafront on the really narrow strip of road that leads away from the Martello tower and the bathing place. I stopped there for blip purposes on my way over to Carl's place. I have to admit to dashing back to the car rather sooner than I intended, because the sea breeze was very blowy and quite chilly. I'd taken a few other shots of sea splashes and the like, but the sunlight on this gable easily beat what little else made it onto the camera.

We'd been invited to a bit of a party in honour of a Sitges resident we'd met when we were there at the end of our holiday in 2010. He was over for a few days on his first trip to Dublin, and our friends in Ballsbridge that we lunched with last Sunday were the ones throwing the party. Things took a while to get going, but we ended up having a really good time, with good company, nice food, and lots of '70s and '80s music to bring on the old nostalgia.
