High Floors in Paris

This is a close-up of a very small portion of the view from our bedroom window in Paris's 13th arrondissement. It was a grey, lazy sort of day (so different from yesterday), and the somber tones echo that (it's late afternoon).

Two previous blips give perspective on this. Here is a very wide view; you'll find this detail in the upper left hand corner. And the upper right corner of this close-up overlaps with the lower right part of the current blip. I hope that's not too confusing.

We are very fortunate with our 4th floor apartment--the two bedrooms face north (as here), and the dining and living rooms face east, with views as far as the tall buildings in Chinatown. The top floor seen here must be at least the 5th; note the stairwell, and the bird on the antenna (certainly a wood pigeon--here's a closer view of one).
