Reclaimed

The retaining wall on the right of frame marks the limit of what was once 2 northbound lanes of the Leicester inner ring road. The road surrounded this 15th century building known as The Magazine on all sides and was formally only accessible via a subway. In 2007 the route was realigned, pedestrian subways shut in favour of at grade crossings and the space reclaimed for a new DMU building and open pedestrian space.
