Dolly's Day

Feline Feeling Caged In

Bobby had an appointment at the vets this afternoon - just a check up to see how he is getting along. Hated being put in his cat basket even though I had sprayed it with " Feliway " before I put him in.

Over the past weeks he has seemed to be getting on OK apart from a few episodes of wheezing and being sick a couple of times. However when vet examined him his chest was very crackly and there was a lot of fluid and his breathing was laboured. So the vet has increased the dose of the Frusemide Bobby has to take. This is a diuretic to get rid of the excess fluid. He has to take a high dose for a couple of days and then a lower dose - but still more than he is taking at the moment. Have to go back to the vets on 17th to see if he is any better.

So Bobby had his first taste of the outside world since his last trip to the vets on 20th January. I decided to take him on the bus as its only a short journey and I didn't want to bother my sister in law for a lift - even though she had offered.

When we got home I left Bobby in his cat basket on the front step for a few minutes - just a little extra bit of fresh air before coming indoors.

Since we got back he has been OK. Having a nice sleep by the radiator.

So another F blip - Feline Feeling Caged In
