Pass the soap...

On a day of still laying snow I wandered about for some time, looking at how black and white the world looked.

A leaden sky bullied the horizon and hung over the ground, making a mockery of Heaven and Earth. There seemed to be a great lack of colour all around, sucking the light out of everything.

The snow soon disappeared from the pavements and was flattening out on the grass, the mildness of the day destroying the wonderful scenery. I love the snow and am always sad to see it go.

I watched these swan preening in the freezing water, made me feel cold just looking at them!

The day passed as usual, work, home and all that stuff, I won't be having a bathe in freezing cold water!
