Bealach na Bà (The Pass of the Cattle) West

So feeling a bit better today after a terrible nights sleep..... the main problem is a blocked up ear which I am hoping sorts itself before my flight!

Set off from Portree this morning and drove to Applecross......with the slight problem of a closed road due to a landslide to deal with.....the road has been closed since December with a very short ferry crossing enabling you to get to the next section of road.....the ferry was tiny(4 cars), makeshift but an experience!

Today's blip is the view looking back down the Pass of the Cattle ( which may or maynot be the highest road in the UK third highest and the highest descent in the UK....or wiki was lying to me!) It is a stunning drive if slightly scary!

We got to Applecross, had a spot of lunch.....a few pints and a bit of a walk..... a few more pints and a bit of a lie down!

Looking forward to dinner tonight, it will be seafood of some description which they are famous for and a few more beverages in the very cosy bar( raging fireplace....check!)"
