I was on a two-lane road driving to nowhere when I passed this spot and thought "BLIP!" I did a U-turn and found it again. (You know sometimes you can't.)

I took shots from all different angles. This was my favorite. A huge beavertail cactus behind what looks to be a decimated tree.

But if you look closely to the top right of the furthest branch, you can see the fight of this tree to survive, despite all it appears to have been through.

It's a parable about life, I think. Never give up in the face of darkness.

For life springs eternal.
