The author of modern Equador?

This is the mausoleum of General Alfaro Delgado who was a President at various times of modern Equador and a little left introducing votes for women, separation of church from government and numerous other things to benefit the masses and then was murdered by the right by beating to death, his body dragged through the streets of Quito and burnt and then he became a national hero and icon. It's my ambition not to be a national hero... Or an icon.

Very seriously going to this mausoleum was a very moving experience and you can only wonder at the dedication and motivation of people like Delgado knowing his likelihood of death in bed was minimal.
