A Day Worth Recording

Wall

One of those photo's that seemed like a good idea at the time but I haven't decided whether it's worked or not. Gut feeling is that it would work better flipped left/right, but is that because I'm left-eye'd?

Anyway, the content of dry stone wall, trees and a gloriously blue sky (and the consequential ice on the ground, and three jumpers and two pairs of trousers) is a good reflection of a wonderful day. We walked from the B&B in Ashbourne out to the southern edge of Dovedale, across to Tissington (a slightly weird bubble of the 17th century) then back on the Tissington Trail - a former railway line - to Ashbourne.

Headed home, calling in on Ruth & David en route, then the A14 welcomed us back to the Flatlands - by being closed.

Cue, or rather 'queue', a frustrating diversion via the A1 and A428.

However, S & J welcomed us back home properly - with a an excellent meal.
