From my studio: Ancient and Modern

Trawling through my studio to find something to blip I found this Peruvian votive offering and a computer memory chip coated in gold.


They represent two very different civilizations separated by over 500 years.

What links them is their use of gold.

For the Peruvians used gold to adorn their bodies and to worship their sun gods.
Today we use it for coating terminals in the computer chip industry.
