They're everywhere!

Is it just me or are there more ladybirds overwintering this year? I keep finding them, not just singly as here, but often in great clusters.

This chap has found temporary safety in the flowers of the Witch Hazel, Hamamelis mollis which has featured in several of my earlier blips, including the one you seem to like most!

Perhaps the high numbers are the result of our Indian summer last year?
