Clocking In

This is the clock that was once part of the Old Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and now stands on a building yet to be developed at Quartermile. The clock still works.

I am viewing it from an adjacent new building, up top on the sixth floor, the highest floor of the three wherein resides the office of our lawyer.
The situation has 360 degree vistas with views of the Pentlands and East Lothian to the south and east , the Old Town and Fife to the North and the shale bings to the west.

The space is opulent and palatial and so quiet that the only sound is the tinkling of the coffers as our audience with the lawyer translates into hard cash.
We tried hard to curb the tinkling by being succinct with our legal requirements, not quite being able to put out of our minds the fact that it is our money which pays for this superb location.

There was a quick trip after lunch to buy some buttons for Nina's new cardigan. The latter provided me with my first miracle of 2012, in that I finished the last cast off stitch with 1 cm of wool left. Had I required more it would have needed an order to Swaledale in Yorkshire.

Now after a short hair cut, in the style of Judy Dench, I'm feeling very light headed but unfortunately not at all like that lady.

However we do have something in common in that she featured in last month's issue of The Saga magazine ( a magazine, ostensibly for the over 50's,( who need a tolerance of adverts for stair lifts and bath hoists) and I featured in this month's issue with a page of my blips on offer.

Thanks are due to Blip Central for the publicity.
