Sitting in the sun

This Egyptian Goose was enjoying the afternoon sun. He/she and its mate were sat on the bank asleep. I didn't get a good shot of either of them all tucked up but they didn't mind me clicking away.
The geese were originally introduced as an ornamental wildfowl species for the large estates and have escaped and breed in the wild. They are most common in Norfolk so how these ended up in Theale I don't know (no jokes about M11, M25, M4 or satnavs).
They are beautifully coloured with brown around the eyes and a grey/pink plumage. The wings seem to go from a silvery grey to a dark reddish brown.
