Art Deco Grill

This is taken through the extensive Art Deco grillwork on the first floor of the Museum of Immigration in Paris (at the Porte Doree); it overlooks the entrance hall. Viewed large, you'll better see details in the large door panes and the hall floor.

We were there to see a pair of special exhibitions. One included photographs taken in Guyane (French Guiana in English) which is a French overseas department in South America just north of Brazil; the theme was immigrants to Guyane, which make up over one-third of its population. The other was on the general theme of immigration to France proper, consisting of many large-scale photographs, as well as a few creative sculptures and videos.
