Welcome

A succulent flower sitting on the front doorstep of my dear friends porch ready to welcome family and friends to this warm and friendly home. The soft colours and very small flowers caught my eye, a succulent with so much beauty.

My friend and I took a little drive today, we went to the beach and then to a small town which is being developed. We chatted as we walked around the lake which was much bigger than I thought. We saw shags, mallard ducks and a white faced heron and some aquatic plants. It was very quiet considering a major event was to take place - lots and lots of school kids started to arrive with their bikes, parents and teachers - I think a race might've been the plan. The kids were all so good, listening to the instructions which seemed to go on for a little while. It brought a smile to our faces, we remember so well the days of supporting and helping our kids and the school at these events, it felt strange to have 'moved on', if you know what I mean.

A lovely day with a very good friend, thanks R for your company today :)

Many thanks for your words, hearts and stars for yesterday's Tree Fern, glad you all enjoyed it. It was interesting to read your comments, some referring to it as a fan, feathers or a place to hide and be transferred to another world. The fronds simply run through your fingers, ever so soft - it was a magic place to be :)
