Learning day by day

British Summer Time

So British summer time began today and I am hoping that the warm weather we are having isn't going to be our summer and that we will get nice warm weather in June, July and August too.

Interesting day, Carys woke up complaining of sore tonsils (yes she was that specific) and flopped on thesofa when we came downstairs and refused breakfast. Calpol worked its magic and she came round a bit and even went out to 'help' Daddy mow the lawn after I had been out running. But she quickly came in complain that she was cold. I offered her hot chocloate then realised we had to get some milk, so we left Daddy and William playing out while we went to get milk and to get some potatoes to plant (Carys's request) from the garden centre. Half way round she said she wanted to go home and she looked really pale, so home we came. The rest of the afternoon was spent on the sofa reading books.

Despite the hour change, Carys asked to go to bed at 5.45pm, had a bedtime story and went off to sleep. Wondering whether she will bounce tomorrow or weather it will be a day off school. William went to bed at the same time, but has just woken up sweaty and screaming. He was pulling at his ears so calpol again and a snuggle in bed and he has gone back to sleep. Fingers crossed for tonight.
