Calves: Cavorting!

I love to watch the little black spring calves, cavorting in the pastures. I stopped to take a few photos of these little guys. I think this is what they mean when they say "high-tailing" it.

Calves, like kittens, seem to have just two modes: full motion, and full stop! (See Thursday morning's entry for full stop mode.)

They were standing still, and then - suddenly! - they were in motion! Oh, the joy of being a calf on a spring morning!
