'Throwing in the towel' or 'The Last Supper'

Like a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta, I felt compelled to give this photo two titles.

Easter Sunday has always been hosted by In-Laws of Mine and this year was no exception - scrummy roast beef with all the trimmings and a meringue* and strawberry roulade.

This may be our last celebratory meal (ok, it was lunch, not supper) at this particular house as In-Laws of Mine are on the move. Throwing in the towel they are not; just being eminently practical and downsizing, not far away, but hopefully to somewhere smaller and nearer essential services.

They have lived there for 31 years, and it's been my second home for over 25 of those. So Moving Day, which we shall no doubt be helping with, will be a mixture of emotions for us all, but also the start of a wonderful new beginning for the whole Family.

This collage shows what happens when Daughter of Mine is asked to help with the washing up...
