Cockwood

We tried the refurbished club house coffee out this morning, not promising on the cappuccino front, espresso just about acceptable. Certainly not up to Nero standard. The club house itself has a wonderful sea view along the whole of one side, though the ambience leaves something to be desired. Maybe it will improve with time...

Later we met Colin in Teignmouth and the boys had a game of crazy golf whilst we went off for a decent drink. The beachcomber fit the bill.

Tea was at The Ship, Cockwood. This is a great little country pub, very full and bustley with a great atmosphere, good food and real ale. Cockwood is on the banks of the river Exe, just beyond Dawlish Warren, and has a small inlet harbour and two pubs. The tide was out and I managed some reasonable photos of the small boats stranded on the mud.

Other photos of Cockwood can be seen here.
