Misty Aalgard.

I woke up long before everyone else today - the boys were all nursing cracking hangovers, but at least it gave me a chance to have a long lie and make a start on some holiday reading before making some breakfast. It was a grey day in Aalgard today, but we decided to just wrap up warm and do a bit of fishing; unfortunately we didn't manage to catch anything, but we had a lovely little picnic in the woods. The community has put up lovely little wooden picnic tables with wooden and turf roofs so that locals and tourists can enjoy a picnic in the woods even in the rain. What a brilliant idea; I wish the Scottish Government would come up with something like that!

After some blueberry and pear cake and some tea, the boys looked a little more revived so we drove back to Aalgard made a lovely slow-cooked roast beef dinner and watched The Thing - not exactly the best idea when skiing tomorrow in an isolated Norwegian location!
