The well loved dog

The well-loved dog has many nicknames?

Apparently. You would think, would you not, that Maud was a sufficiently ridiculous name not to require any other moniker?

So tell me why am I referred to as (in no particular order) Puppy (a tad patronizing?), Pumpkin (do I look like a pumpkin?), Kiswok (some lunacy of aprecious' making), Bumble (No. I don't bumble about the place I move with ease and grace), Paws (yes, I have them) Polly Wally Doodle (whatever), Monkey Bum (it isn't anything like a Monkey's!) and various other ridiculous, 'apparently' hilarious things.

It therefore gave me great pleasure to hear them being roundly told off by the dog trainer for not calling me Maud. She knows a thing or two that woman. Maud it is. And Maud it shall be forever more.

aprecious says she only ever had one nickname at school 'Pressure cooker'. Pressure cooker? Gee whizz and all that jazz what really clever children she must have gone to school with (or not) - for those who do not know aprecious very well a precious is in fact her actual name, A being her initial and Precious being her last name - although she does not like her a name and is never called it. (This is wasaprecious, her sister and she has 4 Dalmatians but has not put any pictures up.) No doubt if wasaprecious was feeling vindictive she could tell you a few of the unpleasant things aprecious was called as a child but because she is a terrific sister she would never do that. No, really, she would never do that.

So dear readers, what was your nickname?
