Pond

Today, we have our pond back! Yesterday it was possible to walk across the middle of it without getting your feet wet, apart from the rain. Today the rain water has run down from the surrounding higher ground and has provide the water in our pond, which is now about two feet deep in the middle. Yesterday we had ducks surveying the dry pond; was this in anticipation of what was about to happen? A few minutes ago there were two male Mallards on our pond, but they flew off before I took this picture. Anyway, in view of my comments yesterday, I thought that the pond should be today's blip.
