Life, not as we see it.

By GOT

In these shoes? I don't think so!

Either yesterday's lunch or evening Murphy's has backfired, so to speak and I feel cxxp. Had to stay close to the facilities as a result.

For some reason the nearer going home gets, the stronger becomes the conflict between wanting to be home and not wanting this odyssey to end, and that's got me grumpy today.

Eventually, at about 4 pm, got up the strength, both physical & mental, to go out foraging. We went to a cafe and were captured by 3 students and their English teacher. This encounter was great fun and we exchanged views and cultural differences quite openly, until it got to the question of state censorship. The conversation was brought rapidly to a close by the teacher, and it was obvious that the group were frustrated and a wee bit afraid. Walls have comrade ears it would seem.

With not having ventured far, scope for photography was limited so you will have to be satisfied with the novelty shot, taken in the Hutons - Peking old town sole remains.

Hope to be in better fettle tomorrow, and I console myself with the thought that I've only had a handful of iffy days in 3 months.
