Empty escalators... well, almost

This was taken at 11 o'clock this morning in John Lewis in Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries - hardly what you'd call busy...

I met my friend Gill there for coffee and a wander. She was wanting to look at curtain material for an about-to-be-decorated bedroom. She ended up ordering the curtains and buying duvet sets and cushions. I love shopping trips like that!

And while I may have lived in cities for the first half of my life - Durban, Glasgow and Barcelona - this country bumpkin was pleased to get back to the sticks!
