Ducky Elegance

Who needs swans when there are wood ducks around... ;-)

We've got real holiday weather today- nice and sunny with a clear blue sky. I took my walk before breakfast. After breakfast I wanted to settle down on my balcony to read (a book on the painting The Flagellation of Christ by Piero della Francesca) when I discovered a colony of aphids about to open up a rogue state on my bellis. Several greenflies we're already trespassing on my potentilla. So instead of relaxing I went to work with scissors, black tea and soap. Meanwhile my cats settled down on both deckchairs and naturally I don't have the heart to send them away. Oh my, what we do for our pets!
