LocalBoy & His Fotographs

Afternoon, Duke

For nearly 25 years, people have been scaling the statue of the Duke of Wellington atop his horse and sticking a traffic cone on his head. Sometimes his equine friend gets one too!

The statue sits outside the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow city centre and is probably a good 20-25 feet. Pretty sure most visitors to Glasgow with a camera will have taken a shot of the Duke and his cone. I've taken plenty but decided on a close up with the telephoto lens today. Sometimes the cone sits straight up, but it was at a jaunty angle today.
