Life's a Beach

There were clouds in the sky today. A major occurance believe you me. I stepped out towards sunset with my camera to capture all the different shapes and colours and was snapping away for ages by the sea when I caught this. There were loads of Omanis out on the beach and they saw me snapping but didn't mind at all; the old 'dumb tourist doesn't know any respect trick'.

You may be interested to know that when they go to the beach, Omani men and women wear the same things they do to work (the long white Dishdasha for men and the long black Abaya and scarf for women). The first time I saw a group of women covered head to toe and attempting to swim was one of the strangest sights I've ever seen.
