Blip me...

"Blip me", said the chickadee, "and forget that oriole you are so enamoured with. Sure, he is a brilliant orange and black bird, but did he pose this nicely? Did he fly in this close and perch in front of a good background? No, he didn't, and I did, so I deserve to be the blip today."

The chickadee was right on all counts, but the oriole was truly a brilliant shade of orange, and it was the very first oriole I've seen this year. Unfortunately, he chose to perch beyond the reach of my lens. Try as I could (and trust me, I tried), I couldn't get a close up. That's why you are seeing this chickadee today.
