Not a leaf, not a twig - a washing line (rotated)

(I've never asked this before, but please look at this one large.)

Over the last few weeks I've had several attempts at copying other people's raindrop photos, with dispiriting results, but today offered me rain and little else so what better to do than have another go (actually there's loads I should have been doing but you know how it is...).

So today I learnt that:
· it is very difficult it is to take a picture while holding an umbrella
· I do not know how my camera works
· raindrops change all the time
· I need a tripod
· standing on garden furniture that's been out all winter is unwise.
