Shining Crane's-bill

Another cold, wet, miserable day with grey skies and no sunshine and apparently there will be more of the same.

I was not sure what I would find today, when I ventured out after lunch in the rain, but did not expect any ladybirds. There was one brave soul, on a very wet leaf, which I have put on Flickr. I chose this Shining Crane's-bill flower (Geranium lucidum), rather than the ladybird mainly because of the raindrops. This is a tiny flower and some of the raindrops are almost as big as the petals.
