Brains

Up early on a day off to book Killers tickets for next year - chuffed with two seats right next to the stage for Newcastle in March - may aswell make a weekend of it. One of the few remaining bands we both like but haven't seen live - can't wait.

Then took advantage of the great weather and ventured off to Oxford for the day. Lunch in Jamie "Pukka Tukka" Oliver's new 'local' rustic-style Italian restaurant. Excellent food, very good service, nice decor (especially the loos - I do love a loo with a bit of imagination) and reasonable to boot - my italian sausage pasta dish was a tenner which is ok. Walked it off with an amble through the colleges, soaking up the impressive sights - all felt very Harry Potter.

Came home via the covered market there where we always stock up on meat - four or five top quality butchers all next to each other, so we came away with lamb shanks, duck breasts, Toulouse sausages and pork tenderloin, and again top quality service from the butcher - "have a great weekend" etc. And not supermarket meat in nasty plastic boxes - so much better.
