Continuing Progress

Today our builder’s bricklayer arrived, but was initially unable to do any work as the materials that were supposed to be delivered at the same time as he arrived did not appear.  To avoid wasting time he manually shifted all of the building blocks from a far part of the garden to where he would use them, while waiting.  The materials eventually arrived mid-afternoon and were, with difficulty, eventually unloaded; the delivery vehicle was much too big to get into our drive.  Some materials had to be offloaded in our parking bay outside of our gates, but inside our exterior chain fence.  Once the materials arrived out bricklayer moved very rapidly getting all of the first level (foundation) of blocks cemented securely into place.  This picture was taken part-way through this part of the work.  We are assured that despite other jobs that are current, we will be up to damp course level before the weekend; this is progress.
