Saying Goodbye

I went over to my son's place this morning and he was rushing around trying to get things done before his trip to India. Don't think he got as much as he wanted to do, .. just run out of time. We got to the airport on time and has some time together, saying our goodbyes and also getting a few shots of the Giraffes.

His flight left on time at 2pm and his first stop is a a few hours at Singapore Airport. Then its of to Kochi, South India. From there he is doing a two week Intrepid tour. The rest of the time he is making his own way around.

Meet No.46 'Monarch' and her babies. Monarch's Artist is Kay Joyce and the Babies are painted by school children from: Harewood, Rredwood, Breens Intermediate, Cotswold, Casebrook and New Windsor (Auckland) Schools.

Here is a link to my other photos of the 'Stands Tall' arts project of Giant fibreglass Giraffe sculptures on the streets of Christchurch this summer.

We had a lovely warm day, for a change with sunshine.. the cloud is coming in now!
