Imperial Shag preening

Apparently shags have a mite problem, with infestations occurring regularly in their breeding colonies. It certainly seems as though they spend a lot of time preening and scratching !
Today we walked around the rookery all day, enjoying the beautiful sunny weather, though it did turn cloudy towards sunset.
