Male Upland Goose

We headed to the Neck today, to stay in a remote self-catering portakabin totally surrounded by superlative wildlife. Just below us were gentoo penguin rookeries, then on the cliffs rockhoppers and albatrosses. There was activith everywhere. Towards dusk the penguins were busy landing, but despite their ubiquitous presence, these male Upland Geese look so striking in their black and white plumage, especially against a backdrop of foaming waves.
