A simple photograph of our house today,  showing the  Christmas lights.
I waited until it was starting to get dark, just after 3 o'clock, so the lights showed well.
Indoors we've been preparing for Christmas. We'll be away for three days and mince pies, brandy butter and two sorts of sourdough bread have all been created today. A pile of other food and drink is also packed ready for the journey to Claires Eyes. She lives by the sea and has produced a couple of stunning images around wintwinter, taken from the bottom of her garden, here and here.
Outdoors fine snow has been steadily falling all day adding to the Christmas feeling. It's not enough to ski on, but on the other hand it's not enough to give us any problems as we travel tomorrow.
I hope you are are all enjoying the run up to the festivities and not getting too stressed. I find a mince pie or two, well spread with brandy butter helps to create a nice feeling of harmony and content!
