The Edge of the Wold

Christmas Tree

Without a lot of clever photoshopping (quite beyond me), I couldn't place the star on the top of the tree.  This is Arnside Simon's favourite beech tree.  Fortunately there was no sign this morning of the Arnside Bigfoot running across the clearing beyond the beech (it often happens as I'm about to press the shutter).

This is only the second Christmas Day that we have spent at home, and it was our second Christmas Day with Gus.  It will be the second anniversary of his arrival on the 27th.  I was surprised at how many people were ambling over the Knott first thing, we normally have it to ourselves but for the Bigfoot.

The replacement turkey proved to be more than enough for our needs today, tomorrow and beyond.  So Mr Booth didn't really let us down, we will forgive him this one lapse.

After dinner, there was still enough light to do the estuary walk, the woof trees and the rabbit field.  Gus was a little off colour today, but he seems better now.  It's time for his final walk to the woods.

Enjoy the rest of the Christmas celebrations, everyone out there in Blipland.
