Super Powered Christmas

Christmas day was finally upon us.  We were up much earlier than we would have been at home.  Sugar was sound asleep when her cousins, Aunt and Uncle, and Grandparents started moving around downstairs.  So we were up at 6:30 and headed on down to see what Santa had delivered.   She got a really cute stuffed Panda,  and a grow your own crystals set.  She was pretty darn pleased.  Her stocking was filled with all sorts of fun things as well.

The present opening came next, and it was a bit crazy with so many folks and all those presents.  I didn't wasn't able to see what most people got.  I tried to stay focused on The Hubby and Sugar, so I didn't miss what they were opening.  I have to say....we were all pretty spoiled.  I got a new 40mm pancake lens, and a Ninja pro blending and food processing system among many other wonderful gifts.

Sugar was very happy with all her small gifts from us, and several wonderful presents from The Hubby's family.  She had such a lovely smile on her face all morning. I finally asked her to get some shoes on because there might be another present outside for her.  We wandered around looking for a bit, and ended up in their garage where this fancy 4-wheeler was waiting for her.  The one she used to ride, and you have seen featured in my journal did not belong to us.  It was loaned to us, as the owner's daughter didn't really enjoy riding it.  The owner contacted us a few months ago, and asked for it back, so back it went.  Sugar was pretty sad to see it go. We talked about getting her one as Summer approaches, but Sugar just didn't really  have anything much on Christmas list besides some small things for her guitar, and crafts and such, so we jumped on the chance to get it for her as a surprise.  This one will take some getting used to, though.  She has to learn how to use a clutch and shift.  I'm guessing she'll get it down quickly.

We had breakfast, and started packing up to head home.  It was a lovely Christmas morning with family.  We got home before noon, and unpacked everything.  We had a few present still under our tree to open, and then a relaxing afternoon and evening.  The Hubby made a delicious Prime Rib Roast that we received from his boss.  YUM.

Another Christmas has come and gone. We are so very blessed.  May we never forget that.
