Captured Three of Them

Today has been really hot, at one stage it was 28c, not sure if it got hotter. It is hard to get John to go out anywhere but I did manage today, it was just too hot to walk around the city. We took a drive to Tai Tapu which is just out of the city so I could get a shot of Giraffe No. 45 'The Longest Drink in Town'. Designer Mandii Pope and Artist Sarah Greig. He is the one Top Left and Top Middle. While we were there we had a icecream to help cool us down. By then the cloud had come over and it had cooled a little.

After that we took a walk around the Halswell Quarry. It was a lovely but we did but we didn't see any wild life about .. just a few ducks. That was disappointing.

From the Halswell Quarry we took a drive around Cashmere and captured two other Giraffes. The Giraffe Top Right and down is 'Moe Giraffe' No. 27 Artist Mandii Pope. Just love his feet!

The other Giraffe is at Pioneer Recreation Centre and he is called 'Harold' and is No 28. Designer Life Education Trust and Artist Gemma Rae Dudson. He is at the bottom.

Here  is a link to my other photos of the "Stands Tall' arts project of Giant fibreglass Giraffe sculptures on the streets of Christchurch this summer.

PS I found out we had 31c today
