'Holy Cow'

Boy, what a strange day of weather here today. A real Melbourne four seasons in one day. We started off with a lovely warm morning which deteriorated as the day progressed. By lunchtime in was extremely windy and then the rain hit hard, but only for about an hour at most.

The temperature dropped from around 27 degrees this morning, to about 15 degrees this afternoon. The wind has now dissipated and the dark clouds have moved away.

Just before dinner tonight there was a beautiful evening glow on the trees with a very dark and moody sky as a backdrop, but by the time I'd jumped in the car (with both kids in tow) and driven up to Kangaroo Ground, the moody sky had all but disappeared.

We found a paddock full of inquisitive cows, but made sure none of us got too close to the electric fence. I now know what they feel like and it's not very nice, although if the kids did misbehave I had just the punishment at hand.

This was taken at around 7pm tonight, just as everything was starting to settle down for the evening.

Raspberry picking has been postponed today due to the weather, might try again tomorrow if it's a nice day.
