Loch Tay and Ben Lawers

On our last morning here the weather was stunning, blue skies but extremely cold (-3C). Spent some time down on Loch Tay, near Acharn, looking across to the snow capped mountain range of Ben Lawers.

Loch Tay is a magnificent dark stretch of water, 15 miles long and around 508 ft deep. It is the largest loch in Perthshire and one of the deepest in Scotland.

Ben Lawers is Scotland’s tenth highest Munro and the central Highlands' highest mountain, stretching 1,214m (3,984ft) above Loch Tay.
