Frosted crab apples

We had a very heavy frost overnight. When I went out in the garden the morning sun was just reaching the highest clusters of apples on this wonderful Malus tree. It has been really prolific this year and already attracts the blackbirds and thrushes. This frost will soften more of the fruit and even the smaller birds will be able to eat some over the next few cold days.
