Capital adventures

And that was 2014

A warm Hogmanay.  No need to put on thick jackets on the pilgrimage to Straiton.  Three generations went and Olivia, in the papoose, was fascinated by the supermarket.  Apparently she normally goes to sleep on these visits.  She wasn't so impressed with IKEA, even though it was her very first visit to a blue and yellow box!  Neither was I, Edinburgh don't stock the items I want but I did get 2 cut price stars - for next Christmas.

In the afternoon I took Olivia to see the fourth generation and she yelled and then slept as we watched 'Coast' in Victoria.  The grandies slept a bit too. Back home she was a little darling.  Maybe it's me??

The 'younger' ones having gone out for dinner with various friends before 'the bells' it was only 3 of us for a meal.  Olivia discovered she could not just reach but also grab things today.  So there was a lot of reaching out for the London bus and koala, and anything else she got close to.

I left them watching tv and went next door for drinks, the quiz (we wuz robbed!), stovies (but nae beetroot or oatcakes) and chilli.

The plan had been to walk along to the Braids to see the fireworks.  the group did but #1 d in l was sound asleep on the couch when I went to get them so it was plan B - upstairs to open the window and watch from the bedroom.

More of that, next year!
