Surveying the Scene

A fine morning called for an early walk in the environs of the Taylor Dam.  Fergus the dog and I walked along a track on the downside of the actual dam structure.  Then we followed the track up the rise and returned via the track along the top of the dam.  It is not a long walk but well worth the small effort as there are lovely views from both sides of the dam.  The sun was already bright in the sky and the day promised to be warm.  Here is Fergus amongst the summer grasses and wild flowers on the dam.  He is surveying the scene to the north of the dam perhaps hoping to spot a rabbit on Meadowbank Station which abuts the Taylor Dam Reserve.
