Overwhelming feeling of doom and gloom on waking this morning, maybe not surprisingly - last night plagued by dreams about Wooler (where we hoped we'd be living now), this morning had to fetch Tom cat's ashes from the vet's... and yesterday evening the boiler stopped working AGAIN.
The mood didn't shift until Lucy and I met Tom (my son) at the station. Very good to see him!
After a relaxing afternoon we all went down to Belford to spend New Year's Eve at Andrea's - good company and a splendid spread, as usual! During the evening, R and P demonstrated their onion goggles - apparently intended to protect the eyes when peeling onions, but also very useful for Dame Edna impersonations!
