Scapula

Sunshine lured me away from household chores and up the hill. I found this sheep scapula and was musing about what ancient people might have done with it... a digging or scraping tool,  perhaps? But then I read later that these bones have been used also for something called "scapulimancy" or foretelling the Future. Apparently you can tell what's going to happen by the way the light shines through the thin part. Adds a new meaning to the phrase "I felt it in my bones"...
